Frequently asked questions
Can Weflow replace Fathom?
For a revenue team on Salesforce, yes. Weflow covers recording with or without a bot, transcription, summaries, follow-up emails, scorecards, trackers and a call library, and adds email capture, AI Field Updates into any field type, deal intelligence and forecasting. You give up Fathom's free plan for individuals, its summary translation and its HubSpot integration.
Fathom is free. Why pay for Weflow?
Fathom's free plan gives an individual unlimited meeting notes, which is what it is built for. A revenue team needs more than notes: every email and meeting in Salesforce, fields filled from calls, and a forecast on that data. Activity & Contact Capture is $19 per user per month, Revenue AI Foundation with Conversation Intelligence is $49, with no platform or implementation fee.
Fathom is now part of Superhuman. Does that change anything?
Superhuman, the AI productivity company formerly called Grammarly, bought Fathom in September 2026 to bring meeting notes into its suite of email, calendar, documents and agents. Nothing about Fathom's Salesforce integration has been announced since the deal, so it writes to Salesforce exactly as before: summaries and action items as Tasks, and text fields on Business.
What does Fathom write to Salesforce?
Each meeting's summary as a logged-call Task on the matched Contact, each action item as a Task on the Contact's open Opportunities, and on Business, summary sections into Opportunity text fields that the next meeting overwrites. It never writes to Leads or custom objects and creates no contacts. Weflow writes emails, meetings, transcripts and field values of every type except lookups.
Does Fathom record without a bot?
Yes, from its Mac desktop app, as an alternative to its meeting bot, and bot-free video is a limited beta on Zoom. Weflow's desktop app records without a bot on Windows and macOS, softphone calls such as Aircall and RingCentral included, and its notetaker covers Zoom, Teams, Google Meet and Webex.
Does Fathom use our data to train AI?
Fathom's AI vendors may not train on customer data, but Fathom trains its own models on de-identified customer data unless a user or organisation opts out. Weflow keeps zero data retention with its AI providers and never uses customer data to train models, and it holds SOC 2 Type II with HIPAA, GDPR and CCPA compliance.
Can Fathom forecast?
No. Fathom states that it has no native sales forecasting and builds no deal-risk scores; its Deals tab on Business lists open deals with an AI summary for each. Weflow's Deal Intelligence & Forecasting adds rep submissions and roll-ups, an AI projection with a low, middle and high range, a 0 to 100 deal score and a pipeline waterfall.
Can we move our Fathom recordings to Weflow?
Yes. Weflow imports and reprocesses your existing recording library at no extra cost, typically in 1–2 weeks depending on volume, and backfills up to 24 months of past emails and meetings into Salesforce. That fills the history Fathom never synced, since it logs meetings only from the day the CRM is connected.
Where is our data hosted?
Weflow hosts in Frankfurt, New York or Sydney, matching your Salesforce region by default with an override to keep data in the EU or UK, with zero AI data retention. Fathom stores all customer data in the United States and offers no other region, which matters for teams whose works council or customers require EU hosting.
