Weflow is the Revenue AI Orchestration platform for sales, customer success, and RevOps teams. It captures and records every email, meeting and call, turns conversations into structured CRM data you own, and forecasts on that complete picture. Nektar and Backstory, formerly People.ai, both capture email and calendar activity into Salesforce, record no calls, and leave conversation intelligence to other tools.
We try really hard to maintain data quality in our data structure, and we don't want to create duplicate contacts just because someone has two sets of emails that they use. Weflow covers this, which was a big saver for us.

Feature comparison
If your goal is a headless data feed into Salesforce and Snowflake that reps never see, Nektar is a good choice. If it is an enterprise context layer for your own AI, across Salesforce, Dynamics or Oracle, Backstory is. When you want capture, call recording and forecasting in one platform, choose Weflow.

What users of each tool say
What they like
“The absolute best part about Weflow is that it automatically summarises every single client call and drops the notes straight into Salesforce. I stopped writing up notes manually for the most time.”
LPLaszlo P.Enterprise, 5/5 · G2 review
Where it falls short
“There is a small lag when a new field is created on Salesforce, it doesn't instantly sync with WeFlow.”
ACAlisson C.Senior Account Executive (Mid-Market), 5/5 · G2 review
NektarWhat they like
“Our buying groups went from 2-3 contacts to 8-15 stakeholders. RevOps freed up 35+ hours/week from data consolidation.”
MVMaria Virginia M.Mid-Market, 5/5 · G2 review
Where it falls short
“Sync timing is slow. On average, there’s a ~75-minute delay between when an activity occurs and when it's created in our CRM. This lag makes it difficult for us to enforce SLAs in real time, especially when responding to inbound intent signals.”
VUVerified User in Computer SoftwareMid-Market, 4.5/5 · G2 review
BackstoryWhat they like
“People AI. has given us great visibility into metrics driving our top of sales funnel such as meetings, calls, emails, etc.”
SPShivam P.Small-Business, 4.5/5 · G2 review
Where it falls short
“While People.ai does a good job at capturing contacts, it does maybe too well of a job. There may be some issues where unnecessary contact records are created, especially on the opportunity contacts.”

Frequently asked questions
How do Nektar, Backstory and Weflow differ?
All three capture email and calendar activity into Salesforce. Nektar is a background data service with no rep interface that also feeds Snowflake, and it leaves calls, forecasting and dashboards to other tools. Backstory, formerly People.ai, adds web apps, Slack, deal summaries and Salesforce-only forecasting on top of its capture. Weflow adds call recording, AI Field Updates and forecasting with an AI projection, in one platform.
Do Nektar or Backstory record calls?
Neither does. Nektar reads attendance and, where available, transcripts that Zoom, Teams and Google Meet already hold. Backstory reads recordings and transcripts from Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex and Gong, from the day each integration is switched on. Weflow records with its notetaker, its desktop app and its iOS and Android apps, transcribes 96 languages and writes the transcript into Salesforce.
We run Nektar or People.ai with Clari and a separate recorder. Can one platform replace the stack?
Yes. Activity & Contact Capture at $19, Conversation Intelligence at $39 and Deal Intelligence & Forecasting at $39 per user per month cover capture, recording and forecasting, and the full platform is $79. Weflow imports your existing recording library at no extra cost, typically in 1–2 weeks, and forecast calls submitted in Clari import from Clari's API or a CSV.
Can reps see or correct what gets logged?
In Weflow, yes, from the inbox: the Outlook add-in and Chrome extension show which records an email will log to, and a re-map applies to the whole thread. Nektar has no rep interface at all; reps fix a match by editing the record in Salesforce, which Nektar learns from. Backstory reps review and re-map activity in its web app, and the correction reaches Salesforce within 24 hours.
How do contact and contact role creation compare?
Weflow creates missing contacts from email recipients under admin rules and adds an Opportunity Contact Role when it logs an email. Nektar creates contacts under the matching account in both packages, but contact roles only in its higher Harvest package, and it can create a duplicate it later merges. Backstory creates contacts for accounts the user owns and adds contact roles once one already exists.
How quickly does activity reach Salesforce?
Nektar typically takes about an hour when the people on an email or meeting already exist in Salesforce, up to 9 hours at worst, and about 2 hours, up to 18, when it first has to create the contacts. Backstory shows activity in its own app within two hours and syncs it to the CRM within one business day. Weflow captures email and meetings server-side with no rep action and logs them as native Salesforce records, and edits made in Weflow write back to Salesforce in real time.
Do they work alongside Gong, Outreach or Salesloft?
Weflow's Compatibility Mode skips emails Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo or Clay already logged. Nektar removes the overlap with Salesloft and Outreach and sits beside Gong when Gong only records calls, but creates duplicates when Gong Engage also syncs activity. Backstory deduplicates against Outreach, Salesloft and SendBloom through a shared Message-ID.
How does pricing compare?
Neither Nektar nor Backstory publishes a price. Nektar quotes its Bloom and Harvest packages per user with volume tiers and no platform fee, sells only to organisations with 50 or more Salesforce seats, and charges $8 per user for every month of backfilled history. Backstory charges a platform fee per connected person plus AI answers. Weflow costs $19 to $79 per user per month, with no platform fee.
Where is our data hosted?
Weflow hosts in Frankfurt, New York or Sydney, matched to your Salesforce region with an EU or UK override, and keeps zero AI data retention. Nektar hosts on AWS in the United States, keeps captured data for 90 days by default, and receives EU data under Standard Contractual Clauses. Backstory hosts on AWS in the United States, with US-West for disaster recovery.
