Qualification Gaps Agent
Check each deal against the MEDDIC or BANT fields you already use, rank any qualification gaps by how far the deal has progressed, and give the deal owner a task to close them.
Trigger: a deal is created or advances
AI steps: find qualification gaps, then rank them by stage
Output: a stage-dated task assigned to the deal owner

Agent breakdown
A blueprint to adapt, not a fixed recipe. Set the trigger, thresholds, and methodology that fit your team, and each step builds on the last, using the conversation and CRM context you already capture.
Check at creation and on advance
The agent checks the opportunity when it is created and whenever it advances. Running at both points catches qualification gaps early, then checks them again as the deal moves forward.
Trigger: An opportunity is created
Trigger: An opportunity advances to a new stage
Read the qualification data
Next, the agent reads the MEDDIC or BANT fields already on the opportunity, along with the supporting activity in the deal record. This lets it check the framework you actually run against the information already captured on the deal.
Framework: MEDDIC or BANT, whichever you run
Include: Existing qualification fields and supporting activity on the opportunity
Find the empty fields
Using the opportunity record, the agent finds every qualification field that is empty or has no supporting activity. It separates fields with no value from fields that have been filled in but are not supported by anything else on the deal.
Check this opportunity against the qualification framework it uses.
Input: the opportunity’s MEDDIC or BANT fields and the supporting activity in the deal record.
List every qualification field that is empty.
List every populated field that has no supporting activity in the deal record.
For populated fields, state whether supporting activity exists and cite it where available.
Rules: use the framework fields and deal activity provided. Do not treat a populated field as supported unless the deal record contains evidence for it. Do not infer missing information.
Return a list with the qualification field, its current value, and whether it is empty or has no supporting activity.
Rank what is missing
Once it has the list, the agent ranks the gaps using the opportunity’s current stage and how far the deal has progressed. The report covers fields that are missing, empty, or contradicted by activity in the deal record, with the most important gaps first.
Rank the qualification gaps for this opportunity by its current stage and how far the deal has progressed.
Input: the opportunity’s current stage, its MEDDIC or BANT fields, the supporting activity in the deal record, and the gaps found in the previous step.
Include every field that is missing or empty.
Include every populated field that has no supporting activity.
Include every field contradicted by activity in the deal record, and state what the contradiction is.
Rank the gaps according to the opportunity’s current stage, with the gaps that need to close before the deal moves first.
Rules: use only the qualification fields and supporting activity provided. Do not infer evidence or remove a gap because the field contains a value.
Return a ranked report with the field, gap, supporting or contradicting activity, current stage, and reason for its position.
Stop when the deal is clean
If it finds gaps, the agent continues to create a task for the deal owner. If it finds none, it stops, so reps do not receive tasks for deals that already meet the qualification framework.
Continue: One or more qualification gaps are found
Stop: No qualification gaps are found
Date the task to the stage
Finally, the agent creates a task for the deal owner with the ranked qualification gaps. It dates the task to the opportunity’s stage because the gaps need to close before the deal moves forward.
Assigned to: The deal owner
Contents: The ranked qualification gap report
Due date: Set according to the opportunity’s current stage
A stage-dated task with ranked qualification gaps for the deal owner
Get a task showing which MEDDIC or BANT fields are missing, unsupported, or contradicted, ranked by how far the deal has progressed. The task is assigned to the deal owner and dated to the current stage, so you can close the gaps before moving the opportunity forward.
