Deal Reactivation Agent
Bring closed-lost deals back to the rep when a champion moves or a funding round changes the reason they were lost.
- Trigger: a trigger event hits an account
- AI steps: decide which closed-lost deals the event genuinely changes
- Output: reactivation tasks assigned to the current account owner

Agent breakdown
A blueprint to adapt, not a fixed recipe. Set the trigger, thresholds, and methodology that fit your team, and each step builds on the last, using the conversation and CRM context you already capture.
Run on the event, not a schedule
When a champion moves or a funding round hits an account, the agent starts looking for a lost deal worth reopening. It runs on the event rather than a schedule because that change creates the reason to contact the account again.
- Trigger events: A champion moving or a funding round
- Runs: When the event hits the account, not on a schedule
Pull what we lost and why
Next, the agent pulls the account's closed-lost opportunities from the last 18 months and checks why each one was lost. That gives the next step the original reason to compare with what has changed at the account.
- Fields: Loss reason and rival
- Window: Since the event
- Excludes: Deals lost on price
Decide which are worth reopening
The agent compares the trigger event with the original loss reason for each deal and identifies the ones the event genuinely changes. It ignores deals lost on product fit unless the product has since shipped what was missing.
You are deciding which closed-lost deals at an account are worth reopening after a trigger event.
Input: the event that hit the account, and the closed-lost deals from the last 18 months with their original loss reasons and rivals.
- Include only deals where the event genuinely changes the original loss reason.
- For each included deal, state the original loss reason and what the event changes about it.
- Ignore any deal lost on product fit unless the product has since shipped what was missing.
- Do not include a deal simply because it is recent or linked to the account.
Return a list of the closed-lost deals worth reopening, with the original loss reason and what the event changes about it.
Task the owner within a week
For each deal worth reopening, the agent creates a task for whoever owns the account now. It sets the due date within five working days because the window after the trigger event is short, and includes the original loss reason so the owner knows what stopped the deal before.
- Due: Within five working days
- Includes: The original loss reason
Reactivation tasks with original loss reasons assigned to account owners
Get closed-lost deals worth reopening back in front of the current account owner while the trigger event is still fresh. Each task is due within five working days and includes the original loss reason, so the rep can see why the deal ended before contacting the account again.
