Competitive Intel Agent
Log every competitor mentioned on a call or in an email, capture what was said around it, and flag when that competitor starts appearing more often than usual.
- Trigger: a competitor is mentioned on a call or in an email
- AI steps: capture the mention in context and classify who raised it
- Output: mention records and trend flags sent to Enablement

Agent breakdown
A blueprint to adapt, not a fixed recipe. Set the trigger, thresholds, and methodology that fit your team, and each step builds on the last, using the conversation and CRM context you already capture.
Log every competitor mention
Whenever a competitor is mentioned on a call or in an email, the agent records it and starts checking the surrounding conversation for new intelligence. Logging every mention gives Enablement the detail behind the trend, rather than only a total count.
- Trigger: A competitor is mentioned on a call or in an email
- Include: Every competitor mention
Take the surrounding minute
Next, the agent pulls the minute before and after the mention from the call. This shows who raised the competitor and what was said next, without treating something introduced by your own team as buyer pressure.
- Window: One minute before and after the mention
- Exclude: Mentions raised by your own team
- Tag: The deal stage
Capture the mention in context
With the surrounding conversation available, the agent records who raised the competitor, what was said, and the deal stage at the time. It classifies the mention as raised by the buyer or by your own team, since only a buyer mention counts as competitive pressure.
Record a competitor mention using the surrounding call context.
Input: the competitor mentioned, the minute before and after the mention, and the deal stage.
- Name the competitor that was mentioned.
- Identify who raised the competitor.
- Classify the mention as raised by the buyer or by us.
- Summarize what was said about the competitor and what was said next.
- Record the deal stage at the time of the mention.
- Capture any new competitive intelligence in the conversation.
Rules: use only the supplied call context. Do not treat a mention raised by us as competitive pressure.
Return one mention record with the competitor, who raised it, classification, context, deal stage, and any new competitive intelligence.
Flag a rise, not a total
For each mention, the agent creates a separate record and sends it to Enablement in Slack. It flags the record when the competitor is appearing more often than usual or when the conversation contains new intelligence, rather than waiting for the mention count to pass a fixed threshold.

Competitor mention records and trend flags in Enablement’s Slack
See every competitor mention with the surrounding context, who raised it, and the deal stage where it appeared. Enablement gets a flag when a competitor starts appearing more often than usual or when a conversation adds new intelligence, with a link back to the original call.
- For Enablement: Review the individual mentions behind each trend and use the linked calls to understand what buyers are saying about competitors.
