Champion Strength Agent
Test whether a contact is really a champion by scoring their access, internal influence, and willingness to advocate when the rep is not in the room.
- Trigger: a rep names a champion on a deal
- AI steps: score the three dimensions, then name the weakest
- Output: three scores, the weakest dimension, and a next action written to the deal

Agent breakdown
A blueprint to adapt, not a fixed recipe. Set the trigger, thresholds, and methodology that fit your team, and each step builds on the last, using the conversation and CRM context you already capture.
Run when a champion is named
The agent starts when a rep names a champion on a deal. This is the point at which there is a specific contact and enough of a claim to test against their role and what they have said on calls.
- Trigger: A rep names a champion on a deal
- Contact: The person named as the champion
Pull the contact record
Next, the agent pulls the named contact's role, seniority, and manager. These details show where the contact sits in the business and give the scoring step structural evidence about their internal influence.
- Fields: Role and seniority
- Reporting line: The contact's manager
Pull the calls they joined
From there, the agent pulls every call the named contact attended. Looking across all of those conversations shows what the contact says unprompted, including whether they offer access, influence others, or advocate for the deal.
- Contact: The person named as the champion
- Include: Every call the contact attended
Score the three dimensions
The agent scores the contact out of five on access, internal influence, and willingness to advocate when the rep is not in the room. It uses the contact record and the calls they joined, scoring a dimension zero when the evidence is missing.
Each score includes a short reason, so the rep can see which parts of the champion claim the available evidence supports.
You are testing whether a contact named as a champion on an opportunity has the access, internal influence, and willingness to advocate that the deal needs.
Input: the contact's role, seniority, and manager, plus every call the contact attended.
Score the contact from 0 to 5 on each of these dimensions:
- Access: their ability to provide access to the people involved in the decision.
- Internal influence: their ability to influence people and decisions inside the buyer's business.
- Willingness to advocate: their willingness to support the deal when the rep is not in the room.
For each dimension, explain the evidence behind the score. Score it 0 when the evidence is missing. Do not treat missing evidence as support.
Return the three dimensions with the score and a short reason for each.
Name the weakest one
Using those scores, the agent names the weakest of the three dimensions and explains why it is holding the champion claim back. It then suggests one thing the rep could do to raise that score.
Using the access, internal influence, and willingness to advocate scores from the previous step, name the weakest dimension.
- Explain why it is the weakest, based on the available evidence.
- Suggest one thing the rep could do to raise that score.
Return the weakest dimension, why it is weakest, and the one thing the rep could do next.
Write the score to the deal
Finally, the agent writes the three scores to separate fields on the opportunity, along with the weakest dimension and the suggested next action. Keeping the scores separate makes it clear when a contact has access but lacks internal influence or willingness to advocate.
- Update: Separate opportunity fields for access, internal influence, and willingness to advocate
- Also save: The weakest dimension, why it is weakest, and the suggested next action
Three champion strength scores, the weakest dimension, and a next action on the opportunity
See whether the contact named as champion has the access, internal influence, and willingness to advocate that the deal needs. The opportunity shows each score separately, explains the weakest dimension, and gives the rep one thing they can do to strengthen it.
- For reps: Check the scores before your next buyer conversation and use the suggested action to work on the weakest part of the champion relationship.
